BIBLE in a YEAR Tutorial

Our goal is to make the Word of God easily accessible to everyone. So we're providing three different ways for you to make the Bible a part of your every day.

Reading the Bible on your Phone

Not only can you receive the Scripture listing on your phone -

You can also read just that day's passages on your phone. Just follow the instructions below.

Listening to the Bible on your Phone

Many people get more out of the Bible when they hear it read aloud. The audio version that we are using also provides a very short explanation of the reading for that day, making it easier to understand. Just follow the instructions below.

To Receive via Text

Simply send us an email to troyagoffice@gmail.com requesting that your number be added to our text list. Provide your name and your phone number.
Each morning at 7am you will receive a text that looks like this:

Touch the blue underlined portion on your phone and you will be taken to a screen that looks like this:

Swipe or scroll downward and you will see an underlined line of text that reads TODAY'S DATE One Year Bible Readings. Under that line is the listing of the Scriptures for that day

- if you choose to read your paper Bible.

If you want to read the Bible on your phone, then simply touch the underlined line of text that reads TODAY'S DATE One Year Bible Readings. You will be automatically taken to those passages (in the easily understood New Living Translation).

If you choose to LISTEN to the Bible on your phone, then

simply swipe or scroll down further on the page until you see

Audio Commentary and Reading of the New Living Translation.

Touch the triangle play button at the far left end of the audio bar. Turn up your volume and enjoy the short explanation and Scripture reading for that day.

IF YOU MISS A DAY, AND NEED TO CATCH UP

The "One Year Daily Bible Reading" website is updated every day to automatically default to that day's reading. And so you will need to navigate to a different screen to read or listen to the scripture for a previous day. It's simple - Just begin the same way you normally do, by touching the link in any of the texts that we send you. That will bring you to the usual start screen. This time you will need to touch the Three Parallel Lines in the upper right hand corner:

Bible Catch Up

This will bring you to a page that looks like this:

Scroll down until you find the month that contains the day you wish to read or listen to - Our example is for January. Touch the name of that month. That will bring you to a screen that looks like this:

Scroll down until you find the specific day that you wish to read or listen to - Our example is for January 3rd.

If you wish to read the passages, just touch the date and you will be automatically taken to the scriptures.

If you wish to listen to the passages for January 3rd, simply touch the small play arrow to the right of the date and you will be automatically taken to the audio player.
