ADULT MINISTRY

Adult Ministries at Troy First Assembly of God is designed for any and everyone who considers themselves an adult. Although for years we had a "Silver Saints" Ministry for our older congregation members, we have found that the Biblical model of the church functioning as a FAMILY works best. With that in mind, all of our events are open to anyone. Adult Ministries is one of the many ways that we foster inter-generational relationships throughout the church.

 

We are an active group who host many events all year long. The two main activities happening monthly are:

A Daycation - A day trip to some site of interest not too far. We've been all sorts of places: The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL; Marcelline, MO - The Boyhood Home of Walt Disney; The Winston Churchill Museum in Fulton, MO; Eckert's Farms in IL; The Cardinals Hall of Fame; The Cathedral Basilica; The Butterfly House; The St Louis Art Museum in Forest Park; The St Louis Gateway Arch and Museum; Pere Marquette in IL; and the list goes on and on. Our trips always include some wonderful place for lunch as well.

A Monthly Potluck Dinner - Once a month we do a Potluck Dinner and activity at the church in our Fellowship Hall. It's always a great time to meet new people, share a great meal, and have a bit of fun. Activities have ranged from Indoor Baseball or Rochambeau Relays; Trivia Nights; Old-Fashioned HymnSings; Gospel Trios and Quartets; and the crowd favorite: Bingo (for valuable prizes!) There's never any charge - just make something good (or grab some fried chicken) and join us every 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm.

 

In addition to these we do other activities as well - you can find us at the Symphony or at a movie - we just love doing life together. Feel free to join us - It's a great place to plug in!
